Many art galleries have recently begun to establish greaterconnections with diverse publics in order to become more inclusiveinstitutions amidst the increasing focus on social responsibilityin society. Gallery education is assuming a prominent role in thefulfillment of this demand, where community outreach projects arebeing promoted. With this rise in outreach programming, there is anincreased need for research and literature in the field, yet thereare few published projects that examine methods for implementingsuch programs. This publication outlines research that developed aframework for gallery outreach programming. The objective of thisresearch was to discover a means to effectively develop acollaborative vision for socially inclusive programming between agallery and a community group.
