Anotácia knihy

Alfred Adler was a highly-respected contemporary of Freud, and, with Freud and Jung, is regarded as one of the founding fathers of modern psychology. His emphasis on a holistic approach to the study of personality, on looking at individuals in their social context, and on equality, makes his work highly relevant today.
Intended for both the general reader and students, Understanding Life offers an excellent introduction to Adler's work, and presents an accessible overview of all his main theories:
inferiority and superiority complexes
early memories as keys to understanding personality
interpreting dreams
love, marriage and children
sexuality and sexual problems
This is a straightforward, clearly-written book, which shows the seminal thinking of a great mind. It gives a basis for understanding both Adler's unique theories and the development of twentieth-century psychology, in which his work has played such an important part.
