" La Voie et le Voyageur " est un essai d'anthropologie spirituelle qui présente l'homme dans sa marche vers Dieu, de la terre au ciel. " Étranger et voyageur sur la terre " (He 11, 13), il suit la voie de Dieu qui se révèle dans le Christ, " Voie, Vérité et Vie " (Jn 14, 6). L'ensemble est structuré d'une manière trinitaire : l'homme créé par Dieu, Père, Fils et Esprit Saint, à son " image et ressemblance " (Gn 1, 26), est racheté par le Christ, second Adam, et par l'Esprit Saint qui transforme l'homme tout entier, corps, âme et esprit. Ainsi l'homme est conduit à travers la mort à la vision de Dieu pour laquelle il a été fait et dans laquelle il trouve sa plénitude : " Nous lui serons semblables lorsque nous le verrons tel qu'il est " (1 Jn 3, 2). Les thèmes retenus sont proprement spirituels : les larmes, la pureté du cœur, la virginité, etc. L'Esprit divinise l'homme tout entier : son regard, sa parole et son silence, son sommeil et ses veilles, c'est-à-dire ses yeux, sa bouche, ses lèvres, ses oreilles et son cœur. C'est dans la perspective eschatologique ouverte par la mort-résurrection du Christ que sont envisagés l'amour et la mort de l'homme, pour faire apparaître, à la fin des temps, la vision de l'homme nouveau. -- 'La Voie et le Voyageur' is an essay on spiritual anthropology, presenting Man in his journey towards God, from earth to Heaven. 'Stranger and exile on the earth' (Hebrews 11, 13), he follows the path of God as revealed in Christ: 'the way, the truth and the life' (John 14, 6). The entire essay is structured along Trinitarian lines: man created by God the Father, the son and the Holy Spirit in His own 'image and likeness' (Genesis 1, 26), is redeemed by Christ, a second Adam, and by the Holy Spirit Who transforms man entirely, body, soul and spirit. Thus man is led through death by the vision of God for which he was made and in which he finds his fulfilment: 'we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is' (1 John 3, 2). The themes treated are strictly spiritual: tears, purity of heart, virginity, etc. The Holy Spirit deifies man in his entirety: his vision, his speech and his silence, his sleeping and waking – that is to say his eyes, his mouth, his lips, his ears and his heart. The love and death of man are envisaged in the eschatological vista opened up by the death and resurrection of Christ, so that, at the end of time, the vision of renewed man may appear.
