India is leading world in number of diabetes, second in prediabetes. In allopath, Metformin is only medicine useful (in reduced doses) for avoidance and curative approach. The combination therapies are important in management and prevention of prediabetes. Ayurveda advocate the use of plants in treatment plenty of diseases. India has about 45,000 plant species and among them, several thousands have been claimed to possess medicinal properties.
