Aloe vera and products containing Aloe vera has been used and marketed from last many years. However, its use was mainly confined particularly to skin related problems. In the last recent years Aloe vera gel has also been promoted as a health drink or/and supplement. The past literature predicts the significant antioxidant activity of the aloe vera gel. Therefore, the present investigation was undertaken to evaluate antioxidant role of aloe vera gel on experimental cardiotoxicity. During the course of study we observed the some parasympathetic activity in the animals treated with Aloe vera gel. Thus, authors decided to evaluate its effect on parasympathetic system along with its effect on memory impairment. The present book describes the possible role of Aloe vera gel in cardiotoxicity and memory enhancement with involvement of cholinergic system.
