Nick Hornby (1957) ist ein britischer Schriftsteller. In Ball-Fieber erzählt er über sein eigenes Leben als Fußball-Fan. Es war sein erstes Buch. Die Original-Fassung (Fever Pitch) erschien 1992. Danach hat er noch andere erfolgreiche Bücher geschrieben. Ball-Fieber gibt es auch als Film.
