Rose Reece an established actress, is challenged that she cannot take a girl unschooled in the dramatic arts and, within a period of five years, train her to the point where she tops the bill in a West End theatre. Twin girls from a rural background on the Isle of Wight become involved in this challenge and their lives are changed forever.
