Volume I followed (Second Series 38). A revised edition of First Series 36 (1866) and 37 (1866). Letters and reports of missionary friars from Cathay and India, 1292-1338; Cathay under the Mongols, from Rashiduddin's history, c. 1300-1307; Pegolotti's notices of the land route to Cathay, c. 1330-40; and John d'Marignolli's recollections of eastern travel, 1338-53, taken from his 'Chronicle of Bohemia'. Follows on from volume II (Second Series 33); volume IV is Second Series 41. This is a new print-on-demand hardback edition of the volume first published in 1914.
