Book synopsis

Im Dezember 1799 zieht Dorothy Wordsworth (1771-1855) mit ihrem Bruder, dem Dichter William Wordsworth (1770-1850), in ein Häuschen mit Seeblick am Ortsende von Grasmere. Im Sommer 1800 lässt sich auch Williams Dichterfreund Samuel Taylor Coleridge in der Nähe von Grasmere nieder: "drei Menschen, doch nur eine Seele". Dies wird zur Geburtsstunde der "Lake Poets" - und damit der ersten Glanzzeit englischer Romantik.
