Book synopsis

Something strange is going on at Dohr's Manor, the place where people afflicted with the dreaded sickness are cared for. The money from the king has stopped coming and nothing works as it should.

Dokaius and Junia, two of the siblings who look after the Committed of the Manor, head for the capital to try to find an explanation. But strange things begin to happen as soon as they leave, and the answers they find are not what they expected.
