A passive optical network (PON) is a point-to-multipoint communication system and it becoming popular for passive components and also higher bandwidth. Now fiber to the premises network architecture in which unpowered optical splitters/couplers are used to distribute a single optical fiber to serve multiple premises, typically 32 or more. Communications technology especially optical fiber communication is progressing rapidly.
