Global Education has been and continues to be an §important aspect of American educational §curriculum. Its importance is not limited to formal §education, but also youth development programs like §the West Virginia 4-H.In this volume, the author §contend that, the importance of global education has §become more relevant in the 21st century due to the §increasing interdependence of the world. As a §result, the author tries to elicit the perceptions §of 4-H Agents, Specialists, and Volunteers in the §state of West Virginia about this important §educational concept and its relevance to the 4-H §program. The volume is partly based on John Dewey s §philosophy of education and environment, but §questions the place of one's environment in a §globally interdependent world. It ends with a §proposed curriculum model based on collaboration, §engagement, and communication.
