From the alarmed and despairing citizens on the Isle of Eigg in 1690, who, ignoring the warnings of a local Seer, suffered at the hands of hostile forces, until more recent times, people have both listened, laughed, mocked and scorned the words and warnings of their Seers and Prophets.
