Book synopsis

Do you love humor, but have a difficult time coming up with your own witty remarks? Well, you'll be glad to know that research has shown that it's never too late to improve your humor skills. This book will elevate your ability to create spontaneous ~ original humor by giving you repeated practice at doing what humorists and comedy writers do--creating funny punch lines. The book does most - not all - of the work for you by setting up a context in which everything is provided except a key word or phrase that completes the punch line. A clue is given to get you thinking in the right direction, and you have to create a funny punch line. Once you've made the effort to come up with your own answer you can chock the one given at the end of that section.

This approach works because it calls attention to the different types of thinking involved in creating jokes, and it gives you repeated practice at building your own humor. By the time you do this for all 350 jokes in the book, you will be well on your way to developing a powerful verbal sense of humor.
