Book synopsis

Elias Laine has spent years following orders few people ever knew existed.

Then one arrives that should never have been given.

A mission tied to a trusted intelligence channel sends Elias and his long-time field partner Mika Niemi into an operation that begins to unravel almost immediately. The intelligence is too neat, the timing too convenient, and someone inside the command structure appears to be shaping events from behind the scenes.

As Elias, Mika, intelligence specialist Elina Karhu and Washington contact Malcolm Rourke dig deeper, they uncover a covert network built on manipulated tasking, hidden loyalties and people willing to sacrifice entire operations to protect themselves.

The threat is not an enemy army.

It is the possibility that the orders themselves have been corrupted.

Forced to question the chain of command he has relied on for years, Elias must decide where loyalty ends and responsibility begins.

Because when the wrong people control the orders, following them can be more dangerous than refusing.

False Orders is the first book in The Sentinel Group series - a grounded international thriller of special operations, espionage, political pressure and betrayal.
