Book synopsis

This is That: The Pentecostal Introduction to NeuroTheology and A Practical Approach to Faith proposes a framework for integrating Pentecostal spiritual practices-such as speaking in tongues, worship, and prayer-with contemporary neuroscience, positioning the brain and body not as separate from the spirit, but as essential conduits for divine encounter, healing, and personal transformation.

Grounded in Ian Barbour's "dialogue and integration" model, the book explores how concepts like neuroplasticity and the body's neurological systems are shaped by faith, offering a holistic view that affirms the biblical emphasis on the complete person (spirit, soul, and body) and provides a practical, non-reductive approach to understanding spiritual experiences, trauma recovery, and communal engagement within the Pentecostal tradition.
