The intention of this paper shall be to define and explain the phenomena of Subjek-tivierung and Entgrenzung and to highlight them in the context of official journeys. First of all it is necessary to define what is mobile work and what is meant by a business trip. Afterwards the concept of Subjektivierung and Ent-grenzung is explained and a relationship to official journeys is established. Thereupon the phenomena of normalization , economization and agglomera-tion is illustrated and highlighted as well in the context of business trips. Meanwhile the conception of the Mobilitätsregime is introduced. Afterall the trend of mobility is examined in a critical way and a forecast of the development is generated.
