Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) is a technique enabling all-day and all-weather high resolution terrain imaging, and consequently it is an important method in Earth observation. Bistatic SAR is an advanced method with significant potential, allowing anti-interference and forward-looking. It operates with a transmitter and a received mounted on separate platforms, resulting in increased capability, reliability and flexibility, as well as complex system design and signal processing requirements.
