Through this hellscape, a train full of survivors makes their way from the death-zones of the East Coast towards a hope of safety in the West. They have crossed the mighty Mississippi, led by former Army Captain Jack Zamora, and defeated a messianic cult leader who worshiped a demon on earth.

Now, though, they face a new threat... something alien, something ancient.
