David Livingstone was born in 1813. He was a Scottish Presbyterian medical missionary. He was known for his exploration of central Africa. Livingstone was the first European to see Queen Victoria. His fame as an explorer helped drive the obsession to find the source of the Nile. His disappearance and death in Africa led to the founding of several African Christian missions. This work is the account of Stanley's trip to Africa in search of Livingstone.
