Fenugreek (Trigonella foenumgraecum L.) locally known as Methi in almost all the Indian states, is belongs to sub family papilionaceae of family leguminosae. Seeds are a good source of protein, vitamins, alkaloid trigonellin, andessential oil and has immense medicinal value. Among the Indian states, Rajasthan alone accounting for over 80% of the nation's total methi output. Higher application of chemical fertilizers adversely affected the soil health in term of chemical, physical and biological and crop productivity.
