Welcome to the world of Alan Brighton, M.D. Alan is a lonely man, trapped in a self-made prison. Mired in a mid-life crisis fueled by rising debt, a law suit, and professional burn-out, his life has reached its nadir, Alan retreats to Bleaker City where things appear even worse.
