The book focuses on the problems which arise because of the presence of noise, which blocks successful image authentication. The editor covers existing algorithms and methods of image authentication in noisy environments (state of the art in this field). The text considers the advantages and disadvantages and shows new approaches and solutions for content based authentication. After the introduction, an overview is given over existing methods, which include noise tolerant authentication and authentication by fragile watermarking. The overview includes a comparison of the state of the art mechanisms. In further chapters novel approaches and methods / algorithms are introduced. The main aim of the book is to present new directions and algorithms for improvement of robust image authentication in the presence of noise, including image correction, if possible.
