The development of the multimedia technologies let the audiovisual translation (AVT) attracts the world attention. Gottlieb (2001) stresses the need for a quantitative dialogue reduction particularly considering that the speech tempo on the screen is usually higher than what can be put as subtitles considering the constraints of time and space.
