Dental caries is one of the most prevalent chronic diseases with loss of dentin, hampering the integrity of the tooth structure to a significant extent. So, the lost dentin must be substituted with an artificial material, for which, many materials are being developed and studied.The trend for selective, minimally invasive caries removal has paved the way for ultraconservative treatment modality where tissues may be sealed and even healed.
