Despite the increasing concern over Asian delinquency§in Canada, there is a paucity of research in this§area. This book reports a qualitative study on the§experiences of Asian youth in the§criminal justice system. Analyses support that§negative self image is one of the key factors for§offending. Contrary to general belief, leaving an§Asian youth gang is§less difficult than anticipated and these youth are§committed to conventional norms of society regardless§of their level of criminal involvement.
