Urbanisation has gained momentum with globalization in India. Policy decisions to set up commercial, industrial hubs have fuelled large scale migration, added with population upsurge has contributed to the fast growing urban region that needs to be monitored in order to design sustainable urban cities. Respective agent's role in development of a particular regions into an urban area has been examined based on AHP, which weighs the influence of each of these agents based on its characteristics derived with fuzzy analytical functions.
