Cotton is grown as a cash crop in many countries of the world. But the limited land resources in agriculture and high cropping intensity limits cotton production due to its low benefit from mono cropping. To increase the productivity and monetary benefit of farmers from cotton cultivation inter-cropping is a key option in most of the cotton growing countries. Mungbean is an important legume crop to be grown as inter crop with cotton to meet the situation.
