Scandinavian traditional music specialist and folk musician Vicki Swan provides notes on the history of the music, as well as playing techniques and styles. The volume is accompanied by a CD with a recording of all tunes performed by Vicki Swan, as well as access to MP3 downloads to recordings of many of the tunes played on other modern and traditional instruments.
