The aim of this book is to provde coverage of films made during the 1950s dealing with the Second World War. There are a number of sub-genres in the films, such as those dealing with prisoner of war camps (like The Wooden Horse, Albert RN, Stalag 17, The Colditz Story, Bridge On the River Kwai, The One That Got Away, The Camp on Blood Island, Danger Within).
