The language, tools, and built-in math functions enable you to explore multiple approaches and reach a solution faster than with spreadsheets or traditional programming languages, such as C/C++ or Java.§§MATLAB Differential and Integral Calculus starts with a practical introduction to the MATLAB environment, so you can immediately start solving numerical and symbolic calculus with MATLAB and learn to plot two and three dimensional graphs of functions. Once you've then dealt with first-order differential equations with exact equations, in separate variables and homogenous linear differential equations of higher order are examined with practical examples throughout.§§You'll then see how to use MATLAB with Laplace Transform and special types of equations, linear equations of higher order, homogeneous in constant coefficients, non-homogeneous Equations with constant coefficients, variation of parameters, and non-homogeneous Equations with variable coefficients. You'll work with Cauchy-Euler equations to differential equations by approximate methods, equations of order and rank higher than one, linear and non-linear, approximate methods. Finally, you'll work hands-on with MATLAB using the Taylor series method and the expansion of Runge-Kutta method of differential equations, plus equations in finite differences, and systems of homogeneous linear equations with constant coefficients.§
