After the regular 3-pound sample had been transferred to the sample can, all the rejected and remaining parts of the gross sample were combined, thoroughly mixed, and again successively quartered until a second 3 - pound sample was obtained, which was transferred to another sample can. Both cans were then sealed and mailed to the chemical laboratory, where they were analyzed separately by the usual method of the bureau?
