The author begins by stating that every surgeon is certain to meet with some instances of hernia of the bladder, and adds the opinion that the urinary bladder in part, or in its entirety, is present in 1 per cent. While this statement may be true if it is limited to large, fully developed scrotal hernias in the male adult, I am sure it is not true if it refers to hernias in general, including hernia in children.
