Le mystère de l'habitation de Dieu en l'homme est au cœur de la foi chrétienne, et concerne très profondément chaque croyant. Pourtant son expérience semble assez rare et difficilement accessible. L'objectif de cet ouvrage est d'en proposer une nouvelle approche, susceptible d'éclairer ce paradoxe en tirant profit des travaux des dernières décennies sur l'acte de parole et sur le caractère dialogal de la vie et de l'auto-donation trinitaires. La dimension personnelle de l'habitation de Dieu en l'homme, ainsi que la priorité de son auto-donation sur tous ses autres dons, sont pris en compte dans les approches classiques. Mais ces dernières ont recours à des catégories qui n'évoquent pas toujours assez explicitement ces aspects essentiels. Il s'agit donc d'ouvrir une voie d'approche plus directement accordée aux formulations bibliques, pouvant être mobilisée dans le dialogue avec la culture contemporaine aussi bien qu'avec les réflexions théologiques antérieures, et concernant d'aussi près que possible l'expérience de foi. Dans la première partie, les principaux enjeux de la question sont mis en évidence, le témoignage biblique est exploré et l'essentiel des théories proposées jusqu'au XXe siècle est synthétisé. La deuxième partie montre comment et pourquoi l'exigence d'une conception personnaliste s'est particulièrement manifestée dans les années soixante, et elle établit les fondements théologiques et philosophiques d'une approche dialogale de l'habitation trinitaire. La troisième partie en expose la structure dialogale, montre en quoi l'inhabitation trinitaire peut être pensée comme un acte de parole et dégage ses principales implications existentielles en ce qui concerne la participation personnelle à la vie trinitaire. Yet real experience seems rare and inaccessible. This book aims to provide a new approach, capable of enlightening this paradox through the fruits of the last few decades' research on the act of speech and the dialogual nature of life, and of Trinitarian self-giving. Classic approaches take into account the personal dimension of God's inhabiting man, as well as the priority self-giving wields over all other gifts. But those approaches employ devices that do not always evoke certain essential aspects explicitly. The solution is to trace a path more directly linked to biblical formulations, capable of operating in a dialogue with contemporary culture as well as with anterior theological reflections, and involving - as much as possible - the experience of faith. Part One reveals the challenges raised, explores biblical testimony and synthesizes the essential theories proposed up to the 20th century. Part two shows how and why the need for a personalist conception became manifest in the sixties, and lays the theological and philosophical foundations of a dialogual approach to the Trinitarian inhabitation. Part three presents the dialogual structure, shows how the Trinitarian inhabitation can be thought as an act of speech and identifies the principle existential implications of personal participation in Trinitarian life.
