In fact, the aim was to launch some reflections that could be used to apply the new development model in practice to the empirical reality of São Tomé and Príncipe. Although there have been continuous changes in events during the course of this reflection, such as the emergence of new players in the African context, the holding of local, legislative and presidential elections in São Tomé and Príncipe, the change in NEPAD's philosophy from a program to an agency, the updating of the HDI by the UNDP, with the new guise given in 2016 to the MDGs/ODS and others, we also admit the possibility of possible subsequent updates (...). In this respect, our suggestion for future work is to implement the geo-social development model in different contexts, based on the theoretical model used.
