Anotácia knihy
This is a lavishly illustrated retrospective of the career of Pritzker Prize-winning architect Souto de Moura. Eduardo Souto de Moura (1952-) studied architecture at the School of Fine Arts, University of Porto, receiving his degree in 1980. From 1974-79 he worked with the celebrated Portuguese architect Alvaro Siza Vieira, honing the skills he would need to create his own successful practice. Between 1980 and the present day, De Moura has designed a number of acclaimed projects - including the Serpentine Gallery's 2005 Summer Pavillion - and has been a visiting professor at not only his alma mater, but also the architectural schools of Geneva, Paris-Belleville, Harvard, and Dublin. In 2011, he was awarded the Pritzker Prize - the architectural world's highest accolade. This lavishly illustrated volume presents readers with a comprehensive and insightful overview of one of the world's finest architects - from his first residential buildings to his latest works and is strictly limited to 1,000 numbered copies, each signed by the architect himself and presented in a stunning velvet lined presentation case.
