This book deals with the contribution of the product§designer to the effective implementation of new§technologies. With various other motives,§technological changes play a determinant role in the§historical development process of product design.§§Since they are products having various photographic§technologies adapted to a close product-user§relationship and accommodating elements mediating§this relationship, the subject is discussed with§specific emphasis on amateur photographic camera§designs. The research does not comprise a detailed§technical explanation of photographic cameras, but§rather an analysis of the functioning and certain§design values of some typical consumer oriented§camera designs having significant technical content;§and their relationship with the users and the technology.§§To illustrate the subject matter, the literature of§radical technological changes is scrutinised together§with the literature of visualisation and photographic§technologies.
